My buddy, Taz passed away today. He was my dog. He was a mutt, but he was a good dog. He was about 11 yrs old. To make this motorcycle. Related I am out riding the BRP so I wasn't home. A neighbor found him.

Sorry for your loss , I know it's tuff. Been there. Just reflect on all the joy he brought you. Feels like they take a piece of your heart when they leave.

Losing a dog is tough. They are members of the family. I am sure you will miss him. When you are ready, the shelters are full of great dogs looking for a home.

My most sincere condolences in the loss of your loved one. My little buddy, Pugsley, had added an immense amount of joy to my life. Unbelieveable, how they can crawl into our souls. Pugsley and I are leaving for Alaska Wednesday morning, and without a doubt, i'll be worrying about him more than myself.

Sorry for your loss. Please edit your post and place a picture of Taz.
My puggy Blister is getting up in age and there are days he just doesn't seem to want to go on. But thankfully there are more days right now that he does want to make me happy, and just wipe his eye buggers on me!

I used to make a living hunting deer. I camped out and got a Helo in when I had a load. I had several dogs that helped me and they were crackers. Your post reminded me of them. My dogs are buried in one of my Swanndri,s near one of my favourite camps beside a river in the mountains. I often go there and chill out. I still miss them very much; they were great mates and never let me down. Condolences on losing a true friend.

When our beagle Chrissy got old and developed problems I, as the head of the family, made the decision to "put her down"

Yes it was the most logical humane thing to do

I cried like a school girl.

Pets are wonderful gifts.

I understand your loss.

Drumz...

So sorry you lost your best buddy.

Even worse that you weren't home.

I lost my beloved lab over four years ago, and I'm still not over it. I think it gets harder the older we get.

Taz is now enjoying Summerland. That's where all beloved pets go when they leave us.

My sympathies for your loss.

your loss

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
