I never thought this would happen. I started riding in 2010, on an old four-cylinder Suzook GS650 that I bought for $400, mainly to save gas $$ riding to work. I never pleasure rode that bike. I then moved to a V Star 1100 in 2012, struggled to adjust to the cruiser riding position, and high-sided that summer. I gave up riding, but got back into it with another V Star 1100 in summer 2014. I rode 2100 miles that year. I got into Wings when I bought an F6B brand new in Oct. 2015.

So, these 10,000 miles came in a short period of time, and unexpectedly.. We had snow on the ground as late as May 9. For years, I have been riding to work, and that was significantly reduced this year as I worked from home March-June. I did not go on anything but day trips. However, these day trips became 200+ milers instead of 100+ milers as they were last year and previous years. I found myself with my knees in the breeze further and further from home.

All but 25 of these 10,000 miles came in my home state of NY.

About 6000 of these miles were rolled on to my Wing ... about 4000 on my Spyder.

I have been averaging about 2k km on my VT1100 for the last 10 years. Finally put my 2018 on the road and did 16k km since March and thats including all the stations/restaurants/washrooms closed for a few months. Just put it in storage today at 16,128 km.

Wow that’s an interesting story, I rode a lot before getting my first Goldwing which was a 1992 GL1500 but wow that definitely changed my riding, I put 10,000 miles on it in the first month and actually rode to Canada for the first time.

Congrats on reaching the 10k milestone! Some people worry about wearing out their motorcycles if they ride 10,000 miles but not Wingers.
