Last Wednesday I picked up my new Candy Red level 3 and I love it. I am looking to install a handle for the trunk and want to know which one fits best for the 2012.
There have been of reviews that tell that they dont fit well and I dont want the hassle.

Thank you for the help.

Safe riding to all!

I use the OEM spoiler as a handle. For $275.00 you get the squared off look that the round trunk lid needs, a handle and extra brake light.

I've read that the spoiler should not be used as a handle but, for 60,000 miles on my 2001 I had no problems.

for me, and a few others I know,
that cheap plastic chrome handle that says HONDA
and screws on the back of the trunk
is the single worst thing I ever did to a Goldwing.

If you do it right, you have a handle that barely works
and flexes every time you need it.

If you do it wrong, you'll easily crack the bottom of the trunk.

imho

I agree the spoiler squares off the trunk making it a better match to the lower half redesign .... and I've always used the spoiler as my trunk handle.

Note that the 2012 spoilers are different than previous years ... how I do not know, but they are liisted as 2012.

After looking at pictures of the back of the bike with the spoiler...I agree that it finishes off and blends the trunk in with the lower part.:agree:

I just ordered the spoiler ...takes 5 days...:frown:

What other accessories would you guys recommend?

My Pearl White looks great with the spoiler and the rack, and I wired the spoiler LEDs with my Skene P3 lights http://www.lights.skenedesign.com/P3_Features.shtml

From what I've read here about the Nav system, you better plan to hook up your Garmin Zumo too.

And then there's that Russell seat idea...

To each there own--I would not HAVE a handle for free.
JUNKS UP
CAN CRACK LID
DETRACTS FROM CLEAN LOOKS
STUPID
WASTE OF $$$
NOT NEEDED
