I had a Road Star and sold it in a weak moment. We have a Gold Wing trike that my wife and I enjoy doing long touring trips on but I wanted a bike for myself and when I found this Vulcan I was really impressed with it BUT it was that silver/pink/violet color. My wife started calling it the chick bike because she thought it was a color for a girl to ride.

OK, that did it ! I decided to give it a make over. I got the bike for a song so putting some money into it wasn't a problem.

I tore it down, sanded the fins on the cylinders, polished them and painted the engine black instead of the silver that came standard.

A friend shot a candy red with "spectrum crystals" over it in the clear. This makes each of the crystals reflect all the colors of the spectrum. It is a really interesting effect !

Here are the before and after pix of the bike.

The bike looks great! Just don't tell your wife that you transformed the "chick bike" into a "chick magnet"!!!!!! :22yikes:

Enjoy and God Bless.
