Rather than spend $2000 more to get Xm/NAV, here was my solution:

Bought an MP3/ipod/bluetooth module, got a free, yes free, Sirius radio. Guess they were running a special. Had a GPS from a vehicle purchase a year or so ago where they threw the unit in for free. Bought a little velcro and attached it to the top of my speaker covers, and voila.

My total cost, minus subscriptions, $260.

Apologies for picture quality. Can't expect much from an iPhone 3G.

what nav unit is that, and how is it mounted? Do not like handlebar mounted accessories, but I do like how you have your's mounted.
thanks.

It's not much, I assure you. It's a Garmin Nuvi 205. More to the point, it was free, and was just laying around the house.

I simply cut a square of velcro and stuck it to the corner of the speaker cover, and to the back of the Garmin. That way I can remove it and secure it when I'm not on the bike, or when I don't need it.

I'm sorta gambling that I can remove the sticky from the speaker cover when/if I ever need to.
