Had a no start at work last night. FI flashed code 19. Called dealer to arrange for a ignition pulse generator replacement. He advised me to crack the throttle a bit when starting said it should fire. Went back to the bike and it fired right up drove it to the dealer and saved the aggravation of waiting and getting a flat bed tow. Just in case others have the same issue of a code 19 with a no start. Crack the throttle when pressing the start button and it should start to get you to your location. ?

I'd like to know how cracking the throttle while cranking corrects the pulse generator loss of signal.

Electronic components begin to fail when conditions are right. Change the conditions a little bit and they may come back to life. It could have been as simple as time passing when he called the dealer. During that time, the sensor's temperature could have dropped a little more.
