Don't wait any longer. You have a warranty use it.

on second thought....could the ticking be from a loose Johnson rod?

It's a big job to fix the Johnson rod

I have the same thing, however it starts ticking at 1,400 rpm's and dissipates at approximately 2,200 rpm's regardless of gear. Happens more often when cruising at these rpm's and now I picking up the ticking noise decreasing speed through the rpm range.

Took back to the dealer, tech said he has not heard this noise before and Mother Honda told them to tell me just keep driving it.

It is not, in my case, injector ticking.

If you would be kind enough, let us know what your dealer tells you. Thanks

going from 1500 to 1800 had to get used to mulit port fuel injection
the injecters are noisy
also chains instead of belts pretty noisy, for cams
if ya had loud Harley pipes you wouldn't hear a thing
if most Harley guys could hear those pistons slapping they would say what the heck is all that noise

Van, If this is distracting and causing concern;

by all means run the valves, check that the cam

chains are tight. (auto adjusters).

Ask your local GWRRA or others for a good

local wrench or have the Honda dealer do it.

And ask friends to listen and ride.

If it's a distraction fix it.
