Just as a friendly advice. When you purchase your generator, or if you already have one, make sure you install, or use a "transfer switch" which will safely prevent some utility worker, working on the lines outside, from getting fried.

A few dollars spent now, will prevent you from loosing your home in the future in a law suit. Be very careful.
