Hi John, no worries with the question. The seat was in a box in the basement. Another box was put on top of the seat box and it has pushed the tongue of the seat down. I believe when the seat is installed with the 2 front clips attached, there will not be an issue. I looked it over before placing the ad. Below is the manufacture stamp. Looks like it wwas manufactured in February 2002.
