As I said in another post, I'm in the process of trading my 2004 Wing for a 2012 airbag Wing (and some cash). The plan is to pick up the bike at the dealer a couple of hours away on Thursday, ride it home, and then on Friday leave for a six week vacation. If I get the time before I leave I'll change the oil, as I normally would at the end of the riding season.


Here's my question. I still have a few Honda oil filters from my 2004. Will they fit into the 2012? (Also, I assume the 2012 takes 10W-40 motorcycle oil, same as my 2004. This IS NOT an oil question - I just don't have the manual yet to check this.)

The oil filters are the same from 2001 through 2017, the 2012 service manual calls for 10W30. However I use 10W30 in the winter and 10W40 in the summer. I think you will enjoy the new bike.
