I had my '06 converted back in May with a Motor Trike Adventure (IRS) kit and every since the rear view mirrors have been pretty much useless....

I grew up with a wrench in both hands so there isn't anything I haven't seen or done. No need to take it back to the installer since I'm smarter then he is....

I found missing weights off the rear wheels so had them rebalanced - no help.
I removed the rear wheels again and checked every bolt I could find - no help.
I checked the drive shaft and u-joints - didn't see anything I thought was abnormal.

Finally gave up and took the trike back to the dealer/installer. He pulled the drive shaft and rolled it on his desk top. Found the slightest warp. He also noted there was end play (not needle bearing wear) in the differential yoke portion of the rear u-joint. "HUMMMMMM" He says. "I don't think that's right"

Long story shortened. Two weeks later with new complete drive shaft installed I can once again see there is only one rider behind me instead of thinking the entire "Hells Angels Motorcycle Club"...

I'm guessing because the Adventure Kit has an off set drive that end play was coming into play and causing more effect then if it were in a direct line configuration that I'm use to. Either way - I learned something new and hope I never get to use that knowledge on anybodies bike...

Your Trike (regardless of the brand) is only as good as the installer. If they throw it together with out any conscience or work ethic, you will have problems. On the other hand, if the installer takes pride in his work and makes sure everything is done right, 99.9% of the owners are very happy. Mechanical things can & will break from time to time, no one (even the installer) can predict when that will happen. I triked mine with a reputable installer 3 months & 6,000 miles ago and have had 0 problems. Smooth ride, no vibrations, no rattles. I am a Happy Triker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;)

Congrats, and that is one really sharp looking ride. The Gold does trike out very nicely, but then again, they all do. Ride safe and enjoy.
