I've looked at Goggle maps and see some roads from Owensboro to east of Nashville and am wondering if they are good roads. I'm going to Wing Ding and trying to avoid Nashville if possible since I hate driving thru there. Any help would be apprecated. TIA

Don't know if it helps or not but we traveled US 31E 2 weeks ago,which runs east of Nashville roughly north to south. It was in good shape. US 231 runs from Bowling Green to Scottsville and runs into 31E and will take you down into Tn.

Come down the Natcher Pkw to Bowling Green, pick up 231 and take that south to Lebanon, Tn where you will pick up I-40 east of Nashville. Not much traffic and good roads all the way.

Yep, do this for sure.
Natcher Parkway to I65, turn left on I65, go 1 mile to the first exit, turn right on 231, follow it all the way to I40.
