Is it necessary the use the "base" and then the yellow color when repairing dime size mark on my saddlebag. Color rite says its needed to match the colors properly. $75 for a 1/2 pint of base, $75 for the color, plus shipping. Then i have to pay to have it painted. Heck, i can buy a new lid for $315

Thanks
Ken

You can even get a complete saddlebag from a trike conversion shop for about $100.00 each without shipping. There might be a shop near you that has one you can just pick up. Swap lids and your done.

I had several scratches on the tank of my Yamaha Warrior. They were caused by dane brammage on my part. You ONLY need the base coat IF the base coat has been compromised. The tank scratches on my bike were down to the base coat but NOT through it! So I did NOT need the base coat.

HTH and saves you a few $$$$
