We have both the Pakit-Rak bag and one of those Kury bags on the trunk rack. Between the two, we have everything we need for a nice trip. And I dont worry about overloading the trunk rack; it'll carry a decent load without problem.
I have a couple of "Stuff Bags" that fit nicely on the Kury luggage rack. I keep my rain gear and my cold weather gear (Widder Electrics) in those bags so they are easy to access.

That is my Rev Pack Tour Pack on the backseat with my laptop lashed on top of that with a rainproof cover. The green and yellow "Stuff Bags" on the Luggage rack are also from Rev pack, excellent Motorcycle Luggage Company. (Also owners of the "Song Dog Ranch").

This is how I traveled for a little over three weeks from Los Angeles to Nashville/Tail of the Dragon and back home to L.A. I did mail a box of "Dirty Clothes" home before I headed back west, gave me some room for the Jack Daniels "Gift" bottles I picked up in Lynchburg, Tennessee at the distillery! :beer8:

If the SO had to sit on top of all that, she'd likely blow away...:lol::lol:

That's why we have a trailer...

This looks like a good compromise instead of adding a trailer, but has anyone here installed the Pakit Rak with a Kuryakyn mudflap, which has its own bracket? The Pakit Rak website asks whether you have a mudflap, but does not ask what brand, or tell you about compatibilities.
Give them a phone call. Bob or his wife will answer the phone and provide you with answers to any question you have about their product line. Good Honest people that love Motorcycling!

I for got to add that I had my Pakit Rak installed by the Folks at Pakit Rak while I was at the 2005 GWRRA California District Rally in Bakersfield.

RBBB's being installed after the Pakit Rak had been installed.

WingStuff was also there and they brought the SuperBrace Brothers with them. So I had the SuperBrace installed...

Then I moseyed on over to the Pin Stripping area and had a little work done...

Turned out to be a expensive but satisfying weekend. Entered the Wing into he Bike Show and won the Best of Class honors!

Of Course with the way GWRRA breaks up the various Goldwing Bike Show Classes it sometimes hard not to win an award, unless you don't enter at all... :joke:
