I know some of you have the PIAA 1100x lights mounted under the fairing using Ezy Mount brackets. When I look at Cycle Gadgets website they sell a bracket kit for the PIAA 004 lights for $75. Before I check with them to see if they work with the 1100x lights I would like to know about these brackets by someone that has used them and has no vested interest in sales. Are they just a U shaped piece of sheet metal that mounts by one screw? Is there adequate clearance for the fork travel? It seems to me that a location that allows for 5 1/2 inches of fork travel is non-existent. And the problem is worse with the wheel turned. I could see a quick braking action in a parking lot with the wheel turned causing some real interference issues.

PIAA 1100X lights

Is anyone currently running these lights?
I know every extra bit of lighting is a benefit. However, would you consider them worth the money?
Who did you buy them from, and how much did they cost?
How much extra actual gain in visiblity do you receive from these lights.
