It looks like a little piece of rebar! I've pulled nails and screws from tires before, but never anything like this. I thought it was a bolt at first, but those aren't threads. I have no idea what it is or where it came from.

New tire en route from HDL. Got a spare for the front sitting in the garage so I'll replace both at the same time.

My fear of picking something like that up at work. The reason I quit parking inside (3rd shift) @ the Air Cond./Refrig. bldg. I took a magnetic clip pole and picked up all kinds of pieces bad for a tire.

Ran over some plyiers years ago handle went rite thru the sidewall dads brand new car lol ( even thou he wasnt laughing ) if its harder than the tire it will find a way in sorry bout your luck

Like I say, I don't know what it is, but it's steel, 1/4 inch in diameter and 1-1/2 inches long. New tire should be here Monday.

Used items like that building railcars. Riveted the roof on stretched box cars.
