I painted mine black a couple of years ago. I used the type of paint they use for wood stoves. Heat resistant.

Powder Coating the Cylinder Head Covers
I've been thinking about having my Wing's cylinder covers powder coated a gloss black to emphasize the chrome center piece. If it's not feasible please let me know.
My questions are these:
1. Have you had it done?
2. How much?
3. Any problems or pitfalls to avoid?
4. Do I need to replace the gasket when I take the covers off?
5. Would you post a picture of the results?
