...please. Day ONE of 14 to East Coast ended NOT well. Couple laid their Wing down after rear blowout. After several hours in the ER, they air-lifted them back to Denver, CO. Their road gear, helmets, etc etc helped...but broken femur, back and collar bone between them. Thank goodness traffic behind them was alert. Team meeting in an hour to decide IF the rest of us will continue. Please be safe out , particularly this weekend.

Sorry to hear of the mishap... We'll keep them in out thoughts and prayers.

A few years ago several of us headed to Colorado. Just east of Rotan NM a micro burst put a friend into a guard rail. Bike was OK Jim broke a leg.. Put a cloud over the trip but we did go on.... Hopefully y'all will have a safe remaining ride.

Prayers and healing thoughts sent.

An item to consider is what the injured party's desires would be for the rest of the group - for ya'll to continue the trip or to cancel.

And for follow-on posters - this thread isn't for a debate on the relative benefits of an "alternative tire". Let's just be grateful they survived their injuries and give a thought of thanks for every journey we make safely.

Prayers for all of you, but especially for the wounded. May healing be quick and complete.

As for the trip, that is a difficult decision. There are a whole gamut of feelings either way. For us, we always talk about this possibility before a group trip. Each person has permission from every other person to ride their own ride. Some may want to continue, others scrub the trip. My personal decision when faced with this came down to whether my friends are stable and well cared for. Frank conversations with everyone involved are helpful. Have had this situation once, but never want it again.

prayers for wisdom...

Thoughts and Prayers from Woodbourne.

Never good news, ever.

Continuation of the trip is nowhere as important as the healing of the injured.
