Just a heads up William, but the exhaust cover panels on an '01 -> '05 are around $105.00 . The ones for the '06 comfort package are $215.00.

You get full time foot warmers if you leave them off because you're too tight to replace them after an "ungraceful dismount".

Suffice it to say what was originally perceived as a straight section of road, just before being distracted by an off road vista, turned out to be a slight left hand sweeper just over a small rise and the track of the 'Wing could not be changed, so ditch, here we come.

No shoulder and a shallow grass filled ditch caused a rather rapid stop and at some point both exhaust covers got a little crunched. No other damage, at least to the bike.
