I attempted posting a reply to another thread about rural addresses, but did not get any responses. Therefore, I thought I would try again as a separate thread. Sure would appreciate hearing from some others about their experience with the problem I describe in the following.

I have the iWay500c. When I try to access some addresses for which I do not have a street or road name, e.g. HC66 Box 314, the gps returns that dreaded message, "this address could not be found." Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I might work around the problem, or am I just going to have to live with it and be content with getting "close" using a paper map? :?

Thanks.

As far as I know, the 500c only knows about street addresses and has no database or conversion of boxes, etc. Don't know of any place that has this short of post offices and police. Some major libraries have those lists but they're usually woefully out of date.
I grew up on RRte 1, box 155. :)
