Just got back from a trip, and when I turned on my 2610 to use routes I had previously downloaded from Mapsource, I got an error message saying the routes did not match available maps precisely. I further noticed my gps was slightly off all through the trip. Usually the car icon is right on the road. It was often off just a bit.

Anyone else had a similar problem and any fixes?

Is it a unit problem or memory problem. Should I reload maps on my CF Card.

Any info would be appreciated

is and was. Seems to be some other problems going on. Wiped the CF card and reloaded it along with the reset. Now the unit does not recognize the card. Oh well a call to Garmin is in order

Well Garmin couldn't help me and my unit being out of warranty, repair was not an option. So, I opened it up and started checking contacts, wires and cleaning. I removed cleaned and replaced the two ribbon connectors and low and behold the gps could now read the card. Problem fixed. Wish I could say I knew what I was doing but I just did a bit of everything and in this case it worked. Machine was worthless otherwise.
