Can you identify this type/year of bike. Had Idaho plates, certainly traveling somewhere. Trunk stolen from a Yellow Goldwing. The rack holding the "trunk" was one of those white kitchen racks you use in a pantry to hold spices, etc. "Sticks" out the back were tent sticks. The bag hanging on the front L forks was a workman's bag that one would use to belt on a hammer, tools, and nails, etc.

Early 80's CX500 Deluxe. I had one like it, but they sure didn't come with knobby tires. There was also a Custom model with a smaller gas tank that was more popular.....later evolved into the first Silverwing with a fairing and luggage. Good bikes, but pretty buzzy on the interstate.

Good for him. Shows you don't need a big expensive blinged-out ride to enjoy a cross country trip.:thumbup:
