i have a new 2010 goldwing and what i was wondering is on the side of the motor just infront of where your toes are there is a little door on both sides of the bike, when i was washing my bike the other day i noticed that they were both open, i tried to close them but they opened right back up. i have a picture of my bike on a vacation i took last week and i can see that they were closed then.
what are these for and how do i close them?

Those are your foot warmers. Check to see if they are set to the open position. The lever is just above the left hand fairing pocket.

If they are just cracked open a little bit then they need to be adjusted. Take the front cowl off and on the left side just above the oil filter are two adjusters that take the slack out of the cables to shut them fully.

'12s didn't get a tool kit, maybe the '10s didn't get a Manual?
