The area is beautiful. Not my kind of rally though. Check out the Harrison gathering there in October of a bunch from this site...lots of riding, swapping stories/lies and your wife won't feel uncomfortable with any of the events.

If you go, please be safe.

Well White Boy..........maybe his wife doesn't care for wet t-shirt contests and bikini bike washes imagine that.
Sometimes the ride doesn't compensate for the environment............and the ride never goes away.
Have fun.......

I will be in Jasper Arkanasas tomorrow afternoon, but I hope to be long gone before the 9th. Spending the night in Hot Springs, and hope to have temps in the low 60's in the morning. Heading north and going to spend a couple nights in Jasper and maybe go over to Mountain Home in a few days. I'm on the Pumpkin bike, trying to wear out what is left of my Dunlop trike take off tire.

Have to agree with you, Mr. White Boy.

I believe the Jasper area is the best part of Arkansas.

Hope you get the chance to travel the area on a dual sport bike.

Most of the roads in the area are not paved.

I am told that rugged landscape was formed by water.

Enjoy the rally, Sir. :D

Take my advice, White Boy. If you haven't ridden it yet, you HAVE to take State Highway 123!!! You talk about a drop-dead gorgeous road!!! Take 7 south from the hub, east on 374 then south on 123 which will take you back to 7. My map still shows 123 as all-weather gravel but it is paved. Last time we were there part of the road had slid downhill and had one lane barricaded.
Fred H., my SO and I will be in Hardy and Mammoth Spring tomorrow and then will be in Mountan View on Saturday to soak up a little Blue Grass. Look us up if you're around there. Would be a real pleasure to meet you. Be safe, guys.
Enjoy my home state, White Boy, as I love that area you're going to.

123 Paved and Smooth all the way. Rode it last week and riding it again this weekend with a group.

Fred, we have a group of about eight cvoming through Jasper Saturday Morning. We are meeting in Harrison between 8:00 and 8:30 for breakfast and then heading south on 7 to ride 123 and then where ever we decide to go. Hope to see you. Would love to met the "The Source of All Wing Knowledge".

Enjoy your stay in this wonderful area of the Ozarks.

Whiteboy, I'm not holier than thou and do like a good craft fair once in a while. I drive below thes peed limit if the scenery is great so we can enjoy it, and have pulled over so people can pass me who wish to go faster.

I simply do not chose to attend events that sponsor wet t-shirt contests and bikini bike washes. Doing so with my wife would, IMHO, be disrespectful to her. I also believe there will be quite a few bikes there that tend to be much louder than my GW, and riding beautiful roads where there will probably be many of them, would likey distract from our enjoyment. That's all.

Thanks for the heads up on Scooters.

Like I said, if you go, please be safe.

Fred, we're leaving with our riding buddies this afternoon for the same part of Arkansas. Best riding in the state. Not too many roads that you can go wrong on! If you get up to the Mt. Home area, try 341 south from Mt. Home. Better than Deal's Gap in our opinion.

If you see a yellow 1800 with bumblebees on it and an illusion red Trike both pulling matching Escapade trailers, flag us down. We'd love to meet you!

Weather is forecast to be perfect!

I will be heading out to Colorado next week and was looking for a route better than Rt 70(boring), its looks like it maybe be worth the trip to go to Ark. and try Rt 123. I don't know about the rally but the roads sound like fun.Someone give me the routes or names of other good roads in the state.
And some good BBQ places.
