My left rear speaker is not functioning...the right one works fine. I want to start by checking the connection at the speaker but cannot figure out how to get at it! Can anyone please tell me how to get inside the speaker area? Thanks...Oh, by the way it's a 2008.

I'd be willing to bet that you have a broken speaker wire where the wire bundle bends at the trunk hinge. It's a very common cause of one speaker going out.

Just did this yesterday. Remove 3 screws from botton, remove all screws from trunk lid interrior cover, remove 2 remaining screws holding speakers on.
