you're right. They won't pay either,,,especially since Honda specifically points out that car tires are not to be used.
How was this ever resolved??
Honda does not say anything soecifcally about car tires. It only says installing improper other than specified may cause handling problems and may cause a crash..

Same type of warning about wearing helmets, improper loading and lack of maintenance.

Interesting comment. I have a Motortrike Prowler reverse trike which uses three car tires. I have nothing against them either, since they last around 20K miles and they are cheaper than MC tires.
I do think a trike is a totally different animal. Like I said, I’m not pro or con on a motorcycle, I just choose not to darkside, but on a trike, I would have suitable car tires.

I’d be having a very spirited and legal conversation with the business who put the rear wheel on. Lug nuts are pretty fail safe as long as they’re properly torqued in a star pattern. Bottom line. If all were tightened, that does not happen.

Glad you’re ok.

Well yeah. I can see how a CT would cause the lug nuts to come loose. Just like when the windshield quits working. The CT causes that too. Heck, I also heard of a guy who couldn't honk his horn, prolly because of the CT on the bike.
It's definitely NOT a CT. The comments in this thread about running a CT are ridiculous. Even if it was a CT, that would not be the reason it came off...the cause would be improperly tightened lug nuts...
