Our upcoming ride will take us through Jefferson City, MO where we will spend one night. I was wondering if any of you guys/gals have any BBQ joint, diners or other suggestions in the area?

48 miles to the southwest of Jefferson City is Versailles, MO. Just north on Hwy 5, address of 15830 Hwy 5, Versailles, MO is Lehman's Restaurant. It is run by Mennonites with Mennonite ladies in traditional clothing doing the cooking. The buffet is fabulous, the pecan pie is outstanding, and if you go away hungry, it is your own fault. Price of buffet was just a tad under 9 bucks. :doorag:

Some great suggestions, thanks! We will be going through Jefferson City twice on this trip, so we will have a chance to try at least two of these places.

It hasn't made the national news so you may not be aware, but the Missouri River is flooding (another 100 year flood) from Montana to Missouri. Several sections of I-29 in Iowa have recently been closed... and the flood waters will continue on down to St. Louis... Jefferson City is on the Missouri River and has some flood potential there... read more at http://www.jeffcitymo.org/flooding.html.
