hi all, mark in mesa here. i'm looking for a pair of armored, mesh riding pants that have a cold weather, windproof OUTER liner. all those i've found so far have an inner liner which means that you have to remove the pants in order to remove the liner when the temps go up later in the day. anyone know of such a garment? thanks

Try wearing rain pants over them. They work great for keeping the wind from coming through, and are just as easy to take off and store as any other "outer liner".

For whatever it's worth, I ride year 'round, down to 20 - 25F with Motoport Ultra II pants ( for several hours, at highway speeds) and my legs are NEVER cold with jeans/sweat pants underneath. Motoport does manufacture insulated/waterproof liners for underneath, but I've not needed them.
The 'MESH' style Kevlar/Cordura/lycra, has EXTREMELY high abrasion resistance, and hips, thighs, knees, shins, impact 'armor'. WWW.MOTOPORT.COM
