Greetings from clear and sunny Oregon.

I have a 2006 model with a navigation feature.

When on country roads, the navi often cuts out and interrupts the music to note "road not verified" or something like that.

Is there a way to turn this prompt off so that it doesn't interrupt the music..?? I still would like to use the navi though but
don't care if a side road (or someone's long driveway) is unverified.

I've looked many times in the owner's manual and can't find a solution.

Anybody know?

Thanks in advance!

Upgrade the Firmware to version 4.31 and that will fix the problem. Take an evening or two and read the attached link. It will explain how to upgrade the NAVI system. I did mine and no regrets...

You'll be glad you did.

The only thing I know is to turn the sound for the nav off.
:agree:You don't mute the sound, you turn it off. Hold the NAVI button down a couple of seconds and it will turn the sound off. You know its off when NAVI is not showing on the display.
