Planning a trip from Louisiana to Maine. The first leg will get me little passed Chattanooga, TN then back roads from then on to Maine. The only two must stops are Gettysburg, PA and Niagra Falls, NY.

Any great roads or sites (no big cities please) that I must see??

Plan on leaving late September into October.

Thanks

Meet too! I'm headed from Pickwick Dam, TN. to the lower BRP then Skyline Drive by passing the larger cities to Maine beginning around the 7th of July. Some thoughts on things I want to ride is the Maine Coast and get sick on BIG lobsters! Play around in up state NY/Vermont/New Hampshire then back to West Virginia for a few days. Really looking forward to the ride!

There is alot of great riding in NH and Maine. Stop by the Seacoast in NH 9only 17 miles of coast line) and ride up Rte 1A. The NH Lakes Region is real nice too. From there, you can take numerous back roads into Maine. Wherever you go, the scenery is great. Enjoy the ride.

After seeing Niagara Falls make your way to Niagara On The Lake. It's a really nice town with some really good wineries. Make sure you taste some Ice Wine. Niagara On The Lake is one of only two places in the world where Ice Wine is made naturally.

As for the lobsters, and Ice Wine too, I hope you have a very big wallet or a credit card, they ain't reasonable. $$$$$$

Be sure to bring along some Zatarain's liquid seasoning crab boil and a cajun injector. Inject some seasoned water into the tails of those tasteless lobsters and you won't be looking for butter!!!! Been there, done that!!!

While you are that close you ought to see Niagra Falls from the Canadian side.
Lots of beautiful roads in the New England area. I hope some of Good folks up there will chime in.

I think someone did. Niagara-on-the-Lake is on the Canadian side.

Casino in Niagara Falls if you're into that.

Finger lakes area in NY is nice when you are between the falls and New England.
