You're not crazy in my way of thinking. Instead of going to Ely, Take I-70 & I-15 to Cedar City, UT. Then take UT-56/NV-319 to US-93. Then take NV-375 (the Extraterrestrial Hwy.) northwesterly to US-6 and to Tonopah. You may have go past NV-375 turn off from US-93 a few miles southerly to Ash Springs or Alamo for fuel because there is nothing until Tonopah. Then it is a straight shot from Tonopah down US-95 into Beatty.

Hi Jim,

Did the NV-375 ride a couple years ago with Rex. In four days of riding, only 3 days of snow fall. Found a great sandwich shop in Beatty. Wish I could join you next week in Beatty.
