right saddle bag running light is out but brake light works put a new bulb in same thing any ideas ..thanks

Make sure the new bulb works. Switch it with the other side or test it on the bench.

There is a loose connection at some point, either at the socket or if you have the side bag lights installed maybe at that point.

Did anyone use something like a scotch lock in the wiring??

Anyways at some point you are not getting power to that circuit on that side.

Yes, but, but.............they are separate. The brake circuit is only actuated when you apply the brakes.

The running light is on all the time.

If the bulb is good, a known good bulb, then there is no power to that side of that running light circuit.

I bet you a beer or two or three..........

All fixed is was just me being dumb i put in a 7440 an when i put in a 7443 it worked go figure
