Could be. But the phone number listed is a New Orleans cell number, and Abita Springs is just across lake Ponchartrain from N.O. Personally, I wouldn't even put the $500 down until I had a chance to inspect the bike in person. IMHO, this one has some red flags going up and 'buyer beware' on it.BlueWing said:Sounds like a good deal for someone.
I don't think that's the main problem. I would guess they'd rather have the money right now. JMHO.tjshelton said:I wonder ... put his bike back together for him. ....

That was my first thought too. It would be nice to put it back together for him so he can ride it later. If they need the cash though it would still be nice to put it back together so he could get more for it. I wouldn't feel right trying to capitalize on his misfortune.tjshelton said:I wonder if he will be in the wheelchair for life. If not, maybe a group from this board could get together and put his bike back together for him. Then show up once a month to ride it for a few miles to keep in shape for the time when he'll be able to toss a leg over.
I can't do it because I live too far away, but we have plenty of folks from LA and East Texas that might be able to help him.
Put back together this should be worth between $13,500 and $13,950 plus whatever the trailer is worth. Warranyy and only 6,000 miles so cosmetics should be only major concern. It would be nice to put it back together for him so he can ride it later.
