Come Support the RIDE FOR KIDS Events this and next weekend at Sarasota. The weather is great this time of year and there are plenty of hotels/motels available. Also, this is a great time to dip your toes in the Gulf.

6th Annual Hap's Cycle Open House, 2530 17th Street, Sarasota, FL, 10AM - 2PM. Free hot dogs, chips and soda, ride-in bike show with trophies in all classes. Vendors, auctions, displays, 50/50 cash drawing will benefit the upcoming Ride For Kids next weekend.

6th Annual Jolly Roger Poker Run. Registration 9:30-11:30AM at Hap’s Cycle Sales, 2530 17th Street, Sarasota, FL, $15 donation for riders and $10 donation for passengers. First bike out at 10AM; last bike in 2:00PM; awards at 3:00PM. 80 mile route; free event T-shirt to the first 150 riders; 50/50 cash drawing, raffle prizes, free donuts, bagels, coffee. Poker run ends at Hooters, 6507 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231 941-923-4666. 10% off Hooters food and drink. Proceeds benefit The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Ride for Kids Dinner (BBQ): BBQ Dinner under the Big Top Saturday Night at 6 PM. A charge of $10.00 per person, which will be a donation to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Come one come all, we would like to an additional $1,000 for the Kids. Music, fun, laughs and food. The location will be the same as the Sunday Ride For Kids, at the Voc Tech location.

Ride for Kids - Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Gulf Coast Florida Ride. http://www.rideforkids.org/ Registration opens at 7:30AM and closes at 9:15AM at the Sarasota County Technical Institute, 4748 Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL, 34233-1798 (941)924-1365.
(map to ride location http://maps.yahoo.com/index.php#mvt=m&m ... 5241&mag=3) Police-escorted ride starts at 9:30AM, rain or shine! 50-mile scenic ride through the backroads of east of Sarasota, passing through beautiful Myakka State Park, looping back to Sarasota County Technical Institute, arriving around 10:45AM. After a light lunch, participants will enjoy a Celebration of Life program that features interviews with young brain tumor survivors -- the Ride for Kids® "stars" of the day. The festivities will conclude around 1PM.
The minimum donation to ride is $35, but the more money you raise, the more premiums you earn. For each $300 you raise, your name will be entered into a drawing for a brand-new Honda motorcycle!
