Yesterday went to visit my mother in law. 150 miles to get there 45 degrees. Today coming back home 40 degrees and both grip heaters and seat heaters would not come on? Yesterday grip was on max and I thought I burned them up or shorted them out? So I safely pulled off the highway and turned bike off for two minutes and fired back up and continued on home. Now they work fine? I have no clue what happened?

On a side note. Both mornings riding I did not see any other bikes?
Only ones on trailers?

seat and / or grip heaters

You need to isolate weather it's the seat or the grips. Use only one, see if it works, turn bike off and back on and try the other. Come back with results. Also check for earlier threads on this subject, has been discussed numerous times over the years.
