I asked the question on the Bike MP3 web site but thought I would do the same here. Just in case Pete is on line or if anyone else has current information.

Who is using the integration harness for the CB that connectes with the SENA blueooth headsets? Is it working OK? Does anyone know when they will have invenory again? It seems that the price of the CBs has come down so I might pull the trigger.

Last summer I bought everything I needed for SENA bluetooth along with the Midland handheld CB. I love the SENA gear. It all works great but it seems that midland has very limited range. Probably 200-300 years at best. My friends say they can hear me but I cant pick up anything further than 200 yards. Plus I kep the midland velcrowed on the left pocket cover. I wrap it up in the rain but thats a pain and its a pain to change the chanels or squelch.

Feedback welcome

my feedback... Can I buy that CB from you? I am a history buff and that would be a FANTASTIC research tool! Wouldn't be too bad for retirement planning either...

sorry just being a [email protected]$$, and have nothing to add to this conversation, as I am still corded but connected to my phone through the J&M unit...

just couldn't resist.

I have spoken to the folks at BikeMP3 about this. They will not have the harness available any time soon. They are waiting until the BT 4 versions of the SM10 and the SR10 come out before they order more. Unfortunately, we don't even have the product names for the replacements for the BT modules listed above, let alone the delivery time frames. Keep in mind, Sena announced the 20s last year in August I think it was. At that time, they announced that the 20S would be priced in December and shipped in January. Then they changed it to being available in April and shipping in early May. Now, the Sena web site just says, "Coming Soon" and so I am guessing it will be June or July before you can actually get your hands on an 20s headset. WIth this as a reference point, I would not be surprised if the new BT modules did not ship till 2015.

Now for the good news. Sierra has an adapter designed by a board member (fox2kill) that will do most of what the BikeMP3 harness does but in a different way. What it does is use a SMH10 hard wired to the GW audio system, and then the rider's SMH10 pairs to the SMH10 connected to the bike as an intercom connection. Using the BikeMP3 harness, the rider's headset pairs to the SM10 and the SR10 which are connected to the harness. These two solutions are different ways to solve basically the same problem. One is available now, and the other is an unknown.

One is full stereo and one is not

We kind of made a decision to hold off on the current unit as SENA is supposed to be making some changes that will positively effect how we do things and hopefully reduce the price

I have used the harness by Fox2kill and was beta tester. Used it today on escort and worked perfectly. Only drawback is the music is mono as of course is the cb.
