Sena freewire and intercom

Hello,

Considering a Sena freewire on my 2013 and wondering how the Sena 20s and freewire combination handles the factory Intercom. The factory intercom is always on, the Sena 20s is voice activated.

I use the factory intercom even solo to patch in all of my accessories (GPS, Valentine, laser jammer) so I'll have to leave the factory intercom channel active. I currently use mic mutes to prevent unwanted mic background noise from a full time active mic.

Thanks for the help!

Andy

Not sure.. only have bike audio/CB/phone audio and use the 20S intercom when the wife is with me...

but it does work well for that scenario

The Sena Freewire and the OEM intercom do not play nice together. If you have the intercom channel active while using the freewire you will have a significant delayed echo that comes back to you as a result of the latency of the bluetooth signal.

The Freewire has an separate input that can be used for GPS, Radar Detector, etc. which can be used instead of the much inferior and mono intercom channel.
