Does anyone have ideas as to why this might have happen ??? I found these in the "clutch chamber" of a 5th gen. My tranny guy's never heard of it. Any ideas ... we are at a loose ???

Info that is known
- owner used Amsoil synthetic oil
- air filter was extremely dirty, and so was the inside of the motor
- clutch parts are OEM ... no burnt clutch plates
- 2006 GL1800 trike with 87k on the ODM
- only 2 segments found; however, it appears that there might be a total of 4 missing on one plate
- the Wing is in for a transmission repair

I sure hope you can come up with some idea why this happened. I don't think we've seen this problem previously.
