Ok, I've been dating Alicia for a little over a year now. She took to the passenger seat from the start, and has traveled several thousand miles now and loves it.

But for the last few months she has started talking about how we are wearing the wrong clothes.

Seriously?

We cover everything the law requires, and usually quite a bit extra.

But apparently that is not "Biker" enough.

Well, I showed her pictures of the ATGATT time folks.

Nope, not "Biker" enough.

Last night I cornered her and started trying to figure out what she though a "Biker" look was.

After some heming and hawing, she finally admitted that she saw a couple that rode in to a resturant she was in dressed in fringed leather and bandanas and chaps with chains and chrome everywhere.

Something like this.

Seriously?

I mean I ride 12,000 miles on a slow year, and that's considering that we only get 6-8 months to ride here. I have leathers, I wear them ocassionally, not often on the bike, whatever.

I'm more comfortable in oilskin, and during hot weather, I'm as likely to wear a tanktop, cargo shorts, and flip flops as anythign else. (like today)

And she now wants us to look like the singers that were rejected by the village people...

30 years later.

WTF?

Well, don't knock it just yet! Let her dress up like she thinks she should look like and see. Some those biker babes aren't that bad looking in those leathers!!

Geez though, next thing she will be wanting is straight pipes on the wing!!:wrong:

I went to a motorcycle run here in Jersey not long ago and most of the people there looked like the cast out of a Pirate movie.

I hear ya...

My wife is VERY fashion concious, and loves the "biker" look. You should have seen the 'discusion' we had when we were about to leave on a trip and the "we don't match!!" came up the first time.:joke:. Then it took me a bit to convince her that I DON'T need fringe on the levers, and that a bit on her,(on her gloves) will satisfy the demands for fringe.. LOL

She does insists that when one wears leather, we both wear leather... sigh.. LOL

I don't really mind it as she's the love of my life, and will ride to H#LL and back with me, day or night.

I had a friend that just sold his Harley. When I asked him why, he replied "I got tired of dressing like a pirate"

If I had a Harley, and I wouldn't mind having one just to have it, I would still ride it in goretex in the winter, mesh in the summer and a full-face year round.

Sounds like you need to take a road trip to Sturgis in August. Camp at the Buffalo Chip and have her show you "exactly" what she has in mind...you might as well enjoy the available scenery while she is shopping for a new look.

Barbwire Tat
Brand on her butt
Sleeveless T-Shirt 2 sizes to small that says "I've been checked for ticks"
Crunched up straw cowgirl hat
and most of all....whatever jeans she wears MUST have a condom ring in the back pocket

These are mere suggestions and not intended to offend...
