Let me start by saying. I have been mounting and balancing my own tires since I was a kid. My first time was about 46 years ago and untold tires ago. I have meet my match now. I tried to mount a Shinko rear tire on my wheel the other day and it whipped me. I wound up taking it to the local Tire Kingdom to have the last side put on. I have mounted Dunlops on GL1800 rear wheels before without a lot of hassel but this Shinko was just to stiff to go on. I could not get the bead to go down into the center of the wheel. If I don't get a respectfull amount of wear out of it I wont do it again. The price point is not worth the hassel. After mounting and installing the Dyna beads I took it for a 230 mile ride and it was smooth and quite as any tire I have ever rode on. I am leaving Monday on a ride to the left coast. I will find out pretty quick as to how it wears.

A while back, there were lots of folks interested in how the Shinko's were wearing. Does anyone have any feedback of them yet?
