This morning I was preparing to get onto I 75 in Richmond Ky and two Goldwings pulling trailers turned in front of me getting on the on-ramp. And I thought to myself, those look like Tailwind trailers. So I start to tell my wife who was with me in the car, what a rare sight that was if indeed they were Tailwinds and about their current value among those in the know. The Wing in the back was yellow and as I gained on the pair I could finally make out the Tailwind logo. As we started to go around them Judy says, “ there’s a wheelchair on that one!” So right away I knew who I was encountering and thought what are the chances we just happen upon Wheelsss and his fellow traveler while on the way to church? Anyhow I gave a couple of toots on the horn as I overtook Wheelss and exchanged waves.
So it was I, if your were wondering, who was honking at you guys this morning. Figured you might be heading home since you were traveling south, in any case hope you had a safe and enjoyable balance to the rest of your ride.

Well I regret that I was not able to put a handshake on ya, but glad that we at least got to exchange a wave. Seeing me on an INTERSTATE is EXTREMLY RARE.....but I could not stand it any longer with the gnashing of teeth and such so I gave in and "we" did 20 miles on 75 South just to settle @ssncob down. LOL. Hopefully our paths cross at some point and I get put that handshake on ya. I actually do remember when you passed by.

Wheelss (Jim) actually surprised me last year, when he said that he sent a package to me (and to be home that morning to sign for it) The wife and I had to go on a small (short) shopping trip, and as we were sitting at a red light, on the edge of my street, waiting to turn back into my street, I saw a red Goldwing Trike, turn into my street, hauling a trailer... can you imagine, my surprise,o_Owhen I got to my house, there in my driveway, was the trailer towing GW, and the driver was Wheeelss, (Jim) and his lovely wife, as a passenger, the surprise package that he sent was Jim and his wife, they rode all the way from Tennessee, to meet me........ and I live in Springfield, Massachusetts (mapquest claims it's a 15 hr 38min ride, from Nashville)
Jim, I still can't remove, that sugar eating grin off my face..(since that day, I still can't remove it, everytime I "think" about that day.. :D) Thank you very much for making my day. :p You are a true patriot/ my friend :love:!!

If you leave a healthy eatin' trail of apples out, you may be able to attract him to an RTE.
LOL....YEP. The Healthy Eating Program that I stick to ensures that I can maintain this finely chiseled, almost God like figure that I have. It's not easy, but, worth it.

Ronnie, that was a great trip and well worth it to finally meet, and put a handshake on the Master Oil Changer and Bike Waxer. Nancy and I really enjoyed meeting you and your lovely Bride and putting a handshake on ya. Good thing you arrived home since FedX had no plans to "return the package.". Stay well my friend and enjoy your ride.

Sorry if I “outed you” for being on an interstate!:) Our paths did cross what must be 2 years ago at a RTE just across the Tennessee line below Lake Cumberland, name of the eating establishment escapes me at the moment. I didn’t expect to have so many irons in the fire at my age so I’m not the world traveler you guys are! Oh, and sscnob was there too, of course!

I have seen Wheels on the road, but it was at a WingDing (year unknown), so the deck was stacked just a bit. I think I saw his bike in the parking lot first and looked over the strange rack with rolling slides going over one of the rear fenders. Sometime later, he was heading one way, I the other and I saw what the rack held and thought "cool!". I never knew that was @Wheelss back then.
