Harley's have had a similar system on their bikes for awhile. I always carry a spare battery, learned the hard way. My 2010 HD has a security setup, well we took a ferry across Lake Michigan and I forgot to put the system in "haul" mode and went up on deck for the ride. Well, when we got to other side, my bike wouldn't start, system had been flashing, not sure why battery went dead cause it was fairly new, but what a pain trying to push a 1,000lb bike off the ferry because I forgot about the code. Lesson learned. I'm sure a few folks will learn the hard way with the new Honda. Carry a spare battery.
