I have seen many comments regarding tires on this posting. I could not find any with respect to snow tires.
Besides studding both front and rear tires, for snow and ice. Has anyone any other suggestions for improving traction in the snow? (chains or similar traction devices are not an option due to wheel /fender clearances)
Thanks
p.s. both tires are studded now

A set of "cupped" Dunlops might do the trick!

snow tires

Has anyone tried installing snowmobile ice picks on their tires, such as used on sleds?
I am concerned about how to properly balance the wheel/tire once I have them "picked"

Yes, because tire balance is important when you are driving at top speed in the snow...
Now that was cold......but funny.......... :clap2:
