How do you remove the speakers covers and then the instruments cover to get at the handle bars bolts? Can I also adjust the cruise control with just this much uncovered? Or do I have to remove the bigger top cover to get to cruise? Anyone with some detailed instructions? thanks Harry :blw1:

A shop manual really helps with this:

Speaker grills - pry top out first, pop off.
Two setting bolts - 5mm hex
Four plastic rivets - just pull
One wire connector - push clip in with small flat screwdriver you can see it from the right side under the instrument cover.

Triple Clamp Cover - Two phillips screws. I'm not sure it has to come off.

I did my cruise with the Top Shelter off because that's the only way to see the alignment marks, but you can hit-or-miss just by turning the throttle cable adjustment. Seeing the alignment marks made my cruise spot-on, first try!

speaker covers just snap out.

the large instrument cover is also easy

take off the trim arround the key hole

remove the two small bolts that are under the speaker grill

and the two rivet like things on the inside of the grills

pull up where the key hole is, slide hand in to remove the wire connector
