Can the speedometer be calibrated on a GL1800 2005? It seems my speedo is off about 4MPH according to my Navigation device.

I put one on my 2002 and it works well. My speedometer was off by 7.2% but it is accurate to within a mile per hour. But, now my odometer reads 4% less miles than actually traveled.

Oh well, you just can't win every time.

If you are more worried about incorrect milage just recalibrate until the milage is on. I just did a speedo healer and did it more for the miles than the speed. I can always figure out where I am as for as speed and adjust, can't do that for the miles.

Wait a sec, you mean the odometer was accurate before you put the speedohealer on and now that the speedometer is adjusted the odometer is off? I would think the odometer would go off of the speedometer so correcting the speedometer would in turn correct the odometer.

Honda's retarded circuit in the gauge cluster has both numbers off. The mileage and the speed are both off by different percentages, so correcting one of them still has the other out of whack.

I am new to GW. I have a 2008 NAV / ABS.
When you say the Speedometer is off which way is it off. When my bike speedometer says 70 am I really going 75 or 65?

The speedo's read high.
My 08 reads 70 when I am actually going 66.

I installed a Yellow Box on my Wing years ago to correct the speedometer. I set it for a 6.5% correction factor and my speedometer is dead on with the GPS, but my odometer reads about 2 miles less per 100 miles.
