Went for a night ride last night and my wife spotted a trunk spoiler that modulated under braking. Well you guessed it, UlTIMATUM to purchase for her safety is in place!!

My question is

I have an 05' Candy Black Cherry Wing (Color listed on Hal's site is for an 04-05 Black Cherry) Are they the same color? Also think I'll need the Kisan modulator for brake flash! Do I need anything else to get her off the dime!

Sorry for the long post! Thanks for your help!

Now is a good time to buy since Hal is having his Labor Day sale. You need the sale coupon code.

If you plan on getting a luggage rack, put the spoiler on first; the trunk is marked for the spoiler holes, not so for the rack. Flasher goes in the trunk lid so install it while the lid is apart for the spoiler install.

Honda says their rack won't work with the spoiler, but the Kury and several others will.

Good Luck!

Honda's will not work with the spoiler on my 06.
Anyone need a Honda rack cheap?

I got the Kissan Tail blazer ?CD-D I think it was. piece of cake to put in. That's all you need. instructions for spoiler and Kissan are very good.

Another advantage to the Tail-Blazer is that it also makes the light in the spoiler a running light, so you've got low voltage running through the spoiler light at night, and a pulsating bright light when the brakes are applied.
On my spoiler light, when the brakes are applied, you get several short pulses, several longer pulses, and then a steady bright light. Since the lights are LED and at eye level of cages, you couldn't miss it unless you were trying.

I just installed the Honda spoiler, Kury trunk rack and Kisan Tailblazer on my '06. I installed the Kisan at the stop light relay using the green/red wire. All four taillights plus the spoiler light do the flashy routine. I originally wanted the spoiler to light up like a taillight as well, have since decided to do the way the cars do with a spoiler light on brake only.

Easy enough install on all pieces. Next is the CB install, perhaps next weekend.

Hello all. I am a new Gold Wing owner as of Wednesday last week. I also became a member of this board and have already benefitted from the terrific expertise and helpfulness of the members.

Reading the posts on this thread have peaked my interest in obtaining and installing a brake light flasher. The pre-owned 05 I purchased already has the spoiler with lights that come on when the brakes are applied.

How easy or difficult it it to install the Kisan flasher? I am not knowledgeable about installing electrical items. :?

Thanks for any help you can provide. :)

I added the Hitachi connectors to a basic signal dynamics brake light modulator and it is plug and play

3 short flashes 1 long and then repeat, on the spoiler only definitely more noticeable

wvnnva - Installing a module that will make the spoiler light flash is quite easy. You need to remove the inner lining of the trunk, which might also include removal of the rack, if you have one. After removing the liner, you'll see where the light for the spoiler plugs into the harness near the front left corner of the lid. The module merely gets connected between these two connections. Put things back together, and go riding.

CB and SB, thank you very much for your helpful explanations. Now, I am off to spend some money for a brake light flasher. :) Maybe even I can do this mod.
