Anyone come up with a good,easy way to strap a bag to the passenger seat? I would like to commute to work. I’m frequently on call to travel and always carry a backpack with overnight clothes, toiletries ect. My bag will not fit in the small tour pack. Hopefully the aftermarket will come up with some tiedown rings or something to strap a bag down. Ideas ? Pics ?

I use bungee cords wrapped around the passenger grab rails with the hooks attached to the carrying handles on a medium sized travel bag. Bag stayed put for 5K miles last Sept. with no problems.

There are other threads regarding this that have pictures of the solution Murf suggested.

If you have bungee cords, you've got all you need.

The ends of the handles are big enough that they will prevent the cord portion of a bungee from slipping off.

Tractor Supply sells flat 36” bungees that have a plastic coated hook that will hook over the stock grab bars. No scratch, no slip. $4.99 for a 2-pack.

No, those are just something I made and screwed to the handles. However that big bike solution looks pretty good!

I have the same set up with my Saddlemen BR3400 seat bag. You can buy the D ring (under the seat yoke) separately. 20 min install & looks like factory tie down.

This is the set up I used, but I cut the D-rings off and screwed them to the handles because I didn't like the way it mounts/fits under the seat.
