Hi!

I am helping a friend decide on a GPS to be used in his truck. There is no need for it to be waterproof. He does not use computer very much and is not on the net, so he needs a GPS that covers all his needs out of the box. Priorities include North America Street already installed, voice promps for turns, large screen, and the ability to prioritize preferences for road types. The C330 seems to fit what he needs, but I am asking for your imput on this decesion! I know that a 2720 or its equivalent will fit his needs, but since he don't need for it to be waterproof, I am assuming a cheaper unit will be adeqaute. Am I wrong? I am looking at Garmins because that is what I am familar with and he will need my assistance. Thanks!

I use a C330 in my car, it's a fine basic GPS, inexpensive and easy to use. It's not one of those units that a serious "power" user might want, but it does get you there. I like it.
