stuck in fairbanks with a broken trailer hitch....

Hey guys and gals.... While riding up the Richardson today my trailer lost a bolt, then broke a weld.... Not good, right?

Well, the trailer was still able to be towed, ever so carefully into fairbanks.... I'm hoping to get a hold of a hitch manufacturer down in the lower 48 in the morning and have a hitch overnighted or red tagged up here to Fairbanks.

Does anyone have a garage where I might be able to replace the hitch? I'm hoping to have it here by Saturday....

Thanks in advance for any help!

bummer! down time on your trip always sucks. could you get it welded somewhere and get going sooner than having to wait several days?

Talked to a welding guy already... At least $150.... And its not looking like the steel will last very long without breaking again.... So, cheaper in the long run to replace it....
Have the welder replace the tongue with new metal and reweld the hitch itself on. Would make it good as new then. Surely someone up there has tube stock or even 2 "c" channels of good thickness to make the "tube".
Providing you can't get the new tongue.

Tongue is still good.... Welder said he had a lot of strengthening to do to the rusted parts.... So, hence, why its so expensive....
