While changing the oil I found these hanging on by a "thread" by the belly pan and was wondering if anyone could place them?

What size are they? They look like they may be the stud nuts off the exhaust flange of the header. Just a guess.

Exhaust header. Have you had any backfiring? That would be a symptom of loose header nuts. Use high heat anti-seize when replacing them. Have fun getting off the covers......

9 ft/lbs of torque only.

Yep,definately off the header flanges. You'll have to remove the lower cowl and the header covers to replace them.

Yes it does happen, The headers came loose on my 03 on the left side. Anyone at RG last year might remember how noisy they were.

I don't think it hurts to check these beauties every now and again.

Mine get a re-torque every 32,000 miles.
